Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) Location: Topeka, KS Employment Type: Full-time, New School Year License Requirement: Kansas State License

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Topeka, KS. As an OT, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by providing comprehensive occupational therapy services within the school district. This is a full-time position for the upcoming school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' functional abilities and areas of need
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to address students' occupational therapy goals
  • Provide direct therapy services to students to enhance their motor skills, sensory processing, self-help skills, and independence
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational and functional goals
  • Adapt and modify classroom environments and activities to promote students' participation and success
  • Document and track students' progress, and communicate findings to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' IEP goals
  • Stay updated on current research, trends, and best practices in the field of occupational therapy

Qualifications:

  • Valid Kansas state license as an Occupational Therapist
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting
  • Knowledge of special education processes and familiarity with IEP development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
