Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) - Phoenix, AZ
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Phoenix, Arizona. As an OT, you will work with students in various school settings, providing therapeutic interventions and support to help them overcome physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges. This is a full-time position with flexible hours based on the school schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities to determine their individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions to improve motor skills, coordination, and functional independence.
- Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations to monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant records.
- Communicate regularly with parents and school staff to provide updates on students' progress and collaborate on strategies to support their development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Arizona.
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
