School OT Position Now Available

Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) - 2023-2024 School Year

Location: Topeka, KS

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. As an OT, you will play a vital role in promoting the development and independence of students by providing effective occupational therapy services. This is a full-time position, and the hours will vary based on the school's schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
• Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance students' functional abilities
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote a holistic approach to student development and learning
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Provide training and support to teachers and other school staff to facilitate the integration of therapy techniques into the classroom environment
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with professional and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Kansas
• Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Passion for helping students reach their full potential
