School Paraprofessional (PARA) - 2023-2024 - in Joliet, Illinois

Soliant is seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our team as Paraprofessionals for the 2023/2024 school year. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of our students. Responsibilities:

• Work closely with classroom teachers to provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
• Assist in implementing instructional plans and strategies.
• Support students with special needs and adapt materials as necessary.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Provide supervision and support during classroom activities and transitions.
• Collaborate with the school's educational team to track student progress.
• Assist with classroom organization and preparation of teaching materials.
• Uphold the school's policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or relevant coursework preferred).
• Previous experience working with children, especially in an educational setting, is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of students.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Must pass background checks and clearances required for employment in a school setting.
