School Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate School Physical Therapist to join our team. As a School Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive therapy services to students with physical disabilities, mobility issues, and other special needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students who require physical therapy services
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on the students' needs
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, group sessions, and classroom-based therapy services
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and physicians, to ensure coordinated care
• Educate parents, teachers, and other school staff on how to support the students' physical therapy needs
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques in the field of physical therapy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy
• Active Physical Therapy License in North Carolina
• Experience working with children in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Ability to manage a caseload of students with diverse needs and backgrounds
• Knowledge of IEPs and special education laws
