Soliant is seeking a skilled and passionate Contracted School Psychologist to join our educational team for the 2023/2024 school year in California. As a School Psychologist, you will work with students, parents, and school staff to provide comprehensive psychological and behavioral support. This is a contract position with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' intellectual, emotional, and social strengths and challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
  • Provide counseling and guidance services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to support positive behavior and mental health.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, interventions, and strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation.
  • Stay updated on current research, best practices, and legal requirements in the field of school psychology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid School Psychologist credential or license in the state of California.
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting (preferred).
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of cultural and socioeconomic factors that may impact students' learning and development.
