A school district near Oxnard, California is looking for a full-time school psychologist. Candidates must be licensed as a school psychologist in the state of California. Current CA PPS credential also required. Non- itinerant opportunity only 1 hour from Los Angeles. Candidate would be assigned to only 1-2 schools with a small caseload of 40-50 students. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, but it is not a skill requirement. Choice of caseloads, including PreK and K-8th grade.

  • Full-time.
  • On-site. (hybrid possible)
  • Must be a California licensed school psychologist.
  • Current CA Pupil Personel Services credential.
  • Must have graduate level School or Educational Psychology degree.
  • Caseload: K-8th; PreK
  • Virtual interview process.

General Responsibilities:

  • Screen students for potential psychological issues and make recommendations for treatment plans based on this screening.
  • Network with teachers and families to create 504 plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that help ensure success for kids who have disabilities.
  • Counsel students and parents while pointing them toward further resources when needed.
  • Collaborate with the special education team to design and implement intervention strategies and programs.
  • Administer therapy to children with developmental, learning or behavioral delays.
  • Work with at-risk youth who are in need of educational intervention to help them achieve success.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student health and academic record.
