Caseload Details:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join our team in the Hamtramck, Michigan area. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting students from preschool through high school who have behavior issues. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting evaluations to determine special education eligibility and appropriate programs, supports, and services.
- Developing behavior plans and conducting functional behavior assessments.
- Attending team meetings to collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement effective interventions.
- Providing counseling and support to students to address behavior and emotional needs.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive school environment.
Physical Demands:
Please note that this position is physically demanding and may require you to work with students who have various physical and behavioral challenges.
Qualifications:
- Michigan School Psychologist license/certification is required.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
