Soliant Health is currently seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a reputable school district in the Hartford, CT area for the current school year. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in promoting the well-being and academic success of students. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting evaluations and assessments, as well as providing counseling services to support students' emotional and educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of concern.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide counseling services to students, addressing a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues.
- Offer guidance and support to teachers and staff in implementing effective strategies for classroom management and student behavior.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, assessments, and counseling sessions.
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the field of school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Connecticut state licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
