Job Description:

Solaint is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join a school district in Norwood, Ohio for the 23/24 school year. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students in our school district. You will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide comprehensive psychological services and promote a positive learning environment.


  • Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and needs in the areas of cognitive, academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions and accommodations to support students' individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement strategies to address students' academic and behavioral challenges.
  • Provide counseling and intervention services to students dealing with social, emotional, or behavioral issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs to promote positive mental health and well-being.
  • Participate in the special education evaluation process, including attending IEP meetings and providing input on appropriate services and accommodations.
  • Serve as a resource for teachers and staff by providing training and support on topics related to mental health, behavior management, and learning strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in the field of school psychology.


  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Ohio
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment techniques and ability to interpret assessment results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requirements.
  • Proficient in using technology and software applications relevant to school psychology practice.
