Soliant is currently assisting a district that is in need of a Special Education Teacher near the Phoenix, Arizona area. The position would be fulltime for the 2023-2024 school year. If this interests you, please apply now!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' strengths and areas of need.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Offer counseling and support services to students dealing with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to promote positive mental health and a safe learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies and interventions that support students with a wide range of disabilities and diverse needs.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and staff on effective classroom management and behavior intervention techniques.
  • Keep accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and program development.
  • Stay current on best practices and research in the field of school psychology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
  • Experience with diverse student populations and various disabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality services to promote student success.
