We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist to join our team in Lamar, Colorado for the 2023-2024 school year. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological services to students, helping them overcome challenges and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide recommendations for appropriate interventions.
- Provide counseling and support to students facing academic, social, or emotional difficulties.
- Offer consultation and guidance to teachers and staff on effective strategies to support students' learning and well-being.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop intervention plans.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of school psychology.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Colorado (or ability to obtain it before the start of the school year).
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment techniques and educational interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
