Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic skills, social-emotional functioning, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement appropriate interventions and strategies for students.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute insights and expertise to develop effective educational plans.
- Provide counseling services to address students' social-emotional and behavioral concerns.
- Assist in the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to support students' academic and behavioral progress.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
Requirements:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
- Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Experience working as a School Psychologist is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques, as well as the ability to interpret and analyze assessment data.
- Proficiency in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations pertaining to special education services.
