Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational institution's dedicated team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and address the individual needs of students, provide counseling services, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of concern in academic, social, emotional, and behavioral domains.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students individually or in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies and interventions to support students' learning and development.
- Consult with teachers and parents regarding academic and behavioral concerns, and provide guidance on effective instructional and behavioral management techniques.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and develop appropriate interventions.
- Stay up-to-date with research and best practices in the field of school psychology.
- Provide crisis intervention and support in emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility to obtain certification/licensure).
- Experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assessment techniques, intervention strategies, and special education regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
