Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team in Pontiac, MI. As a School Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in assessing and supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students, ensuring they receive the help and guidance they need to thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to determine students' strengths and areas of need.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Provide counseling and intervention services to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school climate through awareness programs and initiatives.
- Offer crisis intervention and support when needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
- Serve as a resource to staff and families regarding students' psychological and emotional well-being.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid Michigan licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and community.
