Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the 23/24 school year in McCord, OK. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Your expertise will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic achievement, social-emotional functioning, and behavioral concerns
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral challenges
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs and interventions to promote positive behavior and social skills
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and participate in the development of behavior support plans
  • Collaborate with community resources and agencies to provide additional support and services for students and families
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, student support team meetings, and other meetings as required

Requirements:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Current Oklahoma state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of assessment tools, techniques, and intervention strategies for students with diverse needs
  • Familiarity with special education laws and regulations, including Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and a multidisciplinary team
