Are you a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist looking for a rewarding opportunity? Join our school district in Chester, PA, and make a difference in the lives of K-12 students. This full-time position offers a chance to work in an urban setting, providing evaluations, assessments, and crucial support to our diverse student population.

Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Start Date: August 29, 2023

End Date: June 14, 2024

Caseload: K-12

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students' psychological and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Provide counseling and support to students facing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of students with special needs.
  • Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and develop behavior intervention strategies.
  • Must be comfortable working in an urban school setting.

Qualifications:

  • Active license/certification as a School Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • School-based experience is a must.
  • Willingness to obtain Pennsylvania clearances.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of students, parents, and staff members.
