School Registered Nurse Needed! Forth Worth

Soliant is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our school for the 2023/2024 academic year. As a School RN, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of our students and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to students and staff members in case of illness, injury, or emergencies.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers and maintain accurate records.
• Assess and monitor students' health conditions and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions.
• Conduct health screenings, such as vision and hearing tests, and maintain health records.
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding healthcare procedures and documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the appropriate state licensing board.
• Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health nursing is preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations and provide appropriate care.
• Knowledge of current healthcare practices, regulations, and protocols.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in maintaining electronic health records.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
