Job Title: School Social Worker

Location: Near Albuquerque, NM

Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly qualified School Social Worker for the upcoming 2023-24 school year. As a School Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. Your primary responsibility will be to provide counseling, intervention, and case management services to students in need.

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid New Mexico State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Must possess a Professional License and Public Education License.
• Previous experience working as a School Social Worker or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address students' challenges.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to students to promote their social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to develop strategies for supporting students' academic success.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student progress and intervention services provided.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, policies, and best practices in school social work.

Qualifications:

• A valid New Mexico State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Possession of a Professional License and Public Education License.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to school social work.
