Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team. As an SLP, you will work with students to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working with children, and is committed to helping students reach their full communication potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ communication goals.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers regarding speech and language interventions in the classroom.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student educational plans.
  • Educate staff and parents on speech-language strategies and tools for use at school and home.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid CA Speech-Language Pathology license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Preferred school-based experience or pediatric experience.
  • Strong understanding of child development and speech-language pathology best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with a diverse population of students, teachers, and parents.
