School Sign Language Interpreter (23/24) - Clarkesville, Georgia

Location: Clarkesville, GA

Salary:30-35 $ per hour, 35 Hours a week

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced sign language interpreter to join our team as a full-time schools interpreter. In this role, you will be responsible for providing interpreting services for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpreting services for students during classroom instruction, school events, and meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure effective communication for students
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Keep accurate records of interpreting sessions and student progress

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid interpreting certification (RID or equivalent)
• EIPA score of at least 3.5
• Experience working as an interpreter in a school setting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
