Calling on SLPs (Clinical fellows too!) who want to live and work the Seattle, WA suburbs! Soliant is working with a school district located across the Puget Sound to place an SLP for the upcoming school year.
Candidates who demonstrate the following qualities will thrive in this position:
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Students, staff and parents depend on you to treat and educate them, and consult with them
- Solid problem solving skills: be curious, ask questions, and think your way around a problem
- Flexibility: manage shifting priorities and uncertainties that may arise due to poor communication or lack of information
- Organization skills: maintain accurate records and create a system for sharing information with others
- Up-to-date knowledge of speech and language disorders, therapy or activities for school children, and Special Education procedures in a public school setting
Caseload determinations are still in flux; applicants will connect with a school administrator after an initial phone screening with Soliant.
Education and license requirements:
- Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Washington license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Educational Staff Associate credential, issued by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction
