School Social Worker, Middletown NY

Calling on Social Workers based in the area of Middletown, NY, with a passion for working with children and pre-teens! Soliant is working with a local school dsitrict located 20-30 minutes from Middletown, and is working to fill two positions.

1 position is spread across 2 elementary school buildings, and 1 middle school building; the 2nd position is a fully elementary caseload.

Both LCSW and LMSW candidates are welcome to apply!

Scope of duties:

• Provide counseling support to General Education students, in addition to students requiring Counseling support on their IEPs (Individual Education Plans)
• Support students and staff in developing appropriate behavior intervention approaches
• Refer students and families to community and school resources to support their social and emotional well-being

Requirements:

• School Social Worker license from the New York Department of Education
  • Master's degree in Social Work
  • Active LMSW or LCSW license through the New York Board of Social Work
