Location: Near Johnston, Rhode Island

Hourly Rate: Up to $34/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Required Degrees and Certifications: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field, Valid Rhode Island state certification as a School Social Worker or eligibility for certification.

About the Position:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to join a supportive school district near Johnston, RI. The ideal candidate will work with students, families, and staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, ensuring students can thrive in an academic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ emotional and social well-being.
  • Develop and implement intervention strategies to address behavioral and academic challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community resources to support student success.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students receiving special education services.
  • Act as a liaison between school and community agencies to connect families with resources.
  • Address crises as they arise and provide guidance and support to students and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of child development, family systems, and community resources.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.

Pay & Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: Up to $34/hour (based on experience and qualifications).
