School Speech Language Pathologist Needed ASAP in Portland, OR

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our school district in Portland, Oregon. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students by providing evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on evaluation results and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide direct speech therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, targeting specific areas of need.
• Implement evidence-based techniques and interventions to improve students' speech, language, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop strategies for incorporating speech therapy goals into the classroom and home environment.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, regularly documenting and reporting on students' performance.
• Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding speech, language, and communication strategies.
• Stay updated with the latest research, techniques, and resources in the field of speech-language pathology.
• Participate in professional development activities and seek opportunities for growth and advancement.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid Oregon state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Previous experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders, as well as the ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting.
• Proficient in using assessment tools, therapeutic techniques, and technology relevant to the field of speech-language pathology.
