Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Prospect Park, PA, for a summer position. This position will involve providing speech and language services to students in person. The SLP will play a vital role in helping students improve their communication skills and achieve academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication development
- Monitor students' progress, adjust therapy strategies as necessary, and document outcomes
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff in implementing strategies to enhance students' communication skills in the classroom
- Adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards related to speech-language pathology practice
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Pennsylvania state license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with school-aged children in a speech-language pathology setting
- Strong knowledge and understanding of speech and language disorders and their impact on academic performance
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Employment Details:
- Start Date: June 14
- End Date: September 7
- In-person position with no exceptions
- Hours and schedule to be determined
