Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA)

  • Position: Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
  • Employment Type: Full-Time (30-40 hours)
  • Duration: ASAP - End of School Year (EOSY) 


About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team and support elementary students. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners by helping them develop their communication skills in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ speech and language abilities.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each student’s needs.  
  3. Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.  
  4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a supportive educational environment.  
  5. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy approaches as needed.  
  6. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.


Qualifications: 

  1. Bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  2. Current state licensure and certification.  
  3. Experience working in a school is a plus.  
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  5. Ability to work collaboratively within a school team.
