A part-time Adaptive Physical Education Teacher is needed to provide in-home consultative services for K-12 students. This role involves working closely with students who require specialized physical education programs tailored to their unique abilities and needs. The position is contract-based for the current school year and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' physical development and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized physical education programs for students with adaptive needs
- Conduct in-home consultations to assess students’ abilities and recommend appropriate physical activities
- Collaborate with families, educators, and therapists to support students’ physical goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust programs as necessary
- Maintain detailed documentation and reports in compliance with school and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher
- Experience working with K-12 students with disabilities or special needs
- Strong knowledge of adaptive physical education techniques and modifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working collaboratively with families and educational teams
- Ability to work independently during in-home visits and manage time effectively
