Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (APE) | Arvin, California

A full-semester opportunity is available for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to serve students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade in a K-12 school setting located in Arvin, CA. This contract position runs for the full academic year, starting August 25, 2025, and concluding June 11, 2026.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing adaptive physical education programs tailored to meet the developmental and physical needs of students with disabilities. The teacher will conduct assessments, modify activities to promote inclusion, and work closely with school staff and families to support student success and well-being. Instruction will occur during regular school hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California teaching credential in Physical Education with authorization to teach adaptive physical education
• Experience working with diverse student populations across the PK-12 range
• Ability to create individualized physical education plans and accommodate various physical and developmental challenges
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, therapists, and families
• Commitment to promoting an inclusive, supportive learning environment
