An opportunity is available for a dedicated Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support K-12 students with diverse physical needs in a full-semester contract role. This position focuses on delivering specialized physical education and related services to students within a special education setting in Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement adaptive physical education programs tailored to students with physical impairments
  • Collaborate with special education and general education staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet unique physical and developmental goals
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and communication with families and educational teams
  • Promote inclusive physical activity that encourages participation and wellness for all students

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota licensure as Teacher of the Physically Impaired (TPI) or Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher
  • Experience working with K-12 students in special education and physical education settings
  • Ability to manage K-12 caseload effectively and create customized learning experiences
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to fostering an accessible and inclusive learning environment
