This opportunity seeks a skilled Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support K-12 students in a dynamic school environment. The ideal candidate will develop and implement physical education programs tailored to the unique needs of students requiring adaptive support, ensuring inclusivity and engagement in all activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized physical education lessons that accommodate students with diverse physical abilities.
- Assess students' abilities and progress, adjusting activities to promote development and participation.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents to support student learning and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and adapt programs as needed.
- Promote a positive and safe environment that encourages physical activity for all students.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credential with authorization in Physical Education, preferably with certification in Adaptive Physical Education.
- Experience working with K-12 students in adaptive physical education settings.
- Strong understanding of physical disabilities and adaptations necessary for effective instruction.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop individualized educational plans that meet state and district standards.
