APE Teacher - Riverside, California

This position offers an opportunity for an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to work with K-12 students in a school setting located in Riverside, CA. The role is contract-based and part-time, focused on delivering specialized physical education programs tailored to students with diverse abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement adaptive physical education plans that meet individual student needs.
• Assess student abilities and modify activities to accommodate various physical and cognitive challenges.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and other staff to ensure integrated support.
• Monitor student progress and adjust programs accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student participation and development.
• Promote inclusion and positive physical activity experiences for all students.

Qualifications:

• Experience working as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher or in a similar role within K-12 schools.
• Knowledge of adaptive physical education principles and strategies.
• Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) focused on physical activity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Valid teaching credential or certification relevant to physical education or adaptive physical education.
• Familiarity with compliance and safety standards in school environments.
