Provide audiology support on an as-needed, per diem basis for a K-12 school located in Newcomb, NM, through a contract ending May 29, 2026. This position requires collaboration with special education teams to review audiology reports and assist in developing appropriate goals to support students’ hearing and communication needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver audiology consultation and support to special education staff.
- Review audiology evaluations and reports.
- Assist in writing and updating individualized education plan (IEP) goals.
- Work closely with educators, parents, and other stakeholders to address students’ hearing and communication challenges.
- Respond on an on-call basis, with minimal hours as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid professional and educator credentials in Audiology are required.
- Experience working in educational settings, especially K-12, preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Navajo (Diné) is a strong asset.
- Ability to work virtually is preferred; candidates based remotely will be given priority.
