School Audiologist - Portsmouth, Virginia

A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a licensed Audiologist to provide specialized services within a K-12 school environment in the Virginia Beach area. This role offers the unique opportunity to develop and lead the audiology program previously managed by an external clinic, now discontinued.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive hearing evaluations and related audiology services to students across multiple school locations in the district.
• Serve as an itinerant provider, requiring travel between assigned schools to conduct onsite exams and support services.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to address students' hearing health needs.
• Develop and maintain the district’s audiology program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Manage caseload effectively while maintaining clear documentation.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate (PhD) in Audiology required.
• Active Audiologist license is mandatory.
• Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to various school sites within the district.

Location:

• Virginia Beach area, VA (specific schools TBD).

Contract Details:

• Position duration: January 5, 2026, through June 16, 2026.
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
• This is a non-VOCO, on-site role; hybrid arrangements are not available.
