Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist in Flemington, NJ

This opportunity involves providing specialized educational support as a Special Education teacher with a focus on Autism in a middle school setting. The role is a contract position covering a maternity leave, offering a chance to work with a caseload of students in grades 6 through 8.

Duration: October 27, 2025 – March 13, 2026
Position Type: Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with autism and other special education needs in grades 6-8.
• Develop and implement tailored lesson plans in alignment with students’ IEPs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress.
• Monitor and document student performance and behavior.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as an Autism Specialist or Special Education Teacher with demonstrated success working with middle school students.
• Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively within a school environment.
