This opportunity involves providing specialized educational support as a Special Education teacher with a focus on Autism in a middle school setting. The role is a contract position covering a maternity leave, offering a chance to work with a caseload of students in grades 6 through 8.

Position Type: Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with autism and other special education needs in grades 6-8.
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans in alignment with students’ IEPs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student performance and behavior.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of educational strategies.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience as an Autism Specialist or Special Education Teacher with demonstrated success working with middle school students.
- Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and evidence-based instructional strategies.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively within a school environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators.
