A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is needed for leave coverage in a K-12 public school setting located near Bothell, WA. This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to support high-needs students across multiple school sites with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and collaborating closely with psychologists, teachers, and administrators.
  • Providing direct, hands-on services to students (approximately 2.5–3 hours daily, sometimes up to 4–5 hours depending on individual student needs).
  • Consulting with teachers, classroom paras, and occasionally Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) in mostly self-contained classrooms.
  • Completing office work such as documentation and attending meetings (about 25% of time).
  • Participating in Right Response or comparable CPI/Mindset training.

The role involves coverage beginning as early as February 2 for cross-over training with the current BCBA going on parental leave February 13. The contract extends through the end of the school year (June 15), with Spring Break observed April 6. Services will be primarily delivered across 5 to 7 schools within a network of 13, focusing on a rotating caseload of 5–8 high-needs students and monitoring 12–15 others.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Previous experience working in school environments, especially K-12, strongly preferred.
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams including counselors, psychologists, principals, SLPs, OTs, and nurses.
  • Ability to adapt working hours between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. starts with corresponding end times, maintaining a 37.5-hour workweek.
