A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is needed to support a K-8 program within a K-12 school located in Flushing, NY. This contract position is anticipated to last for the full school year, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students with significant behavioral challenges, particularly those on the autism spectrum.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary students with complex behavioral needs and the ability to effectively collaborate with school staff. This role involves supporting data collection processes and conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) in coordination with the district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide applied behavior analysis services tailored to students with behavioral and developmental challenges
  • Assist with collecting and analyzing behavioral data to inform treatment plans and progress monitoring
  • Conduct FBAs and develop BIPs in alignment with district policies and goals
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to implement effective interventions
  • Support staff training and ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is required
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students on the autism spectrum
  • Proven expertise managing significant behavioral needs within a school setting
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills
  • Ability to navigate district protocols for FBAs and BIPs
  • Flexibility to work approximately 50-60% of full-time hours as determined
