An elementary school located in Hudsonville, MI, is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a full-time, contract position for the current school year. This role focuses on providing specialized behavioral support to an upper elementary (2nd-5th grade) Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Provide ongoing behavior support tailored to students with ASD
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure consistent implementation of behavior strategies
- Monitor and analyze student progress to make data-driven decisions for behavior management
- Support social-emotional learning and foster a positive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is required
- Experience working with upper elementary students (grades 2-5), preferably in an ASD setting
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based behavior interventions and positive behavior support methodologies
- Ability to write clear, comprehensive behavior plans and effectively communicate strategies to school staff
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working within a school community
