A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is sought to provide leave coverage in a dynamic K-12 public school setting serving high-needs students. This full-time, contract role offers a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a flexible and collaborative educational environment located in Lynnwood, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive BCBA services including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), behavior intervention planning, and hands-on work with students.
  • Spend approximately 50% of time directly supporting students, with 25% collaborating with teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
  • Manage a rotating caseload of 5-8 high-needs students with close monitoring of an additional 12-15.
  • Lead behavior consultation and training efforts in self-contained classrooms to support positive student outcomes.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, attend meetings, and engage in ongoing team collaboration including participation with counselors, psychologists, SLPs, OTs, and nurses.
  • Embrace flexibility by serving multiple school sites (approximately 5-7, from a pool of 13) within the North Everett region.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential mandatory.
  • Prior experience working within K-12 public schools strongly preferred.
  • Ability to confidently conduct FBAs, develop intervention plans, and work hands-on with students.
  • Familiarity with Right Response or equivalent crisis management training (e.g., CPI or Mindset).
  • Strong collaborative skills for interdisciplinary team settings.
  • Flexibility to start as early as February 2nd for cross-over training, continuing through the school year until June 15th (end of second semester).

Schedule & Location:

  • Full-time (37.5 hours per week), shift hours generally 8:00 am to 3:30 pm with flexibility between 7:00 am to 9:00 am start times.
  • Position is based in Lynnwood, WA with travel between multiple school sites in the North Everett area.
