Located in Bay City, MI, this position offers an exciting opportunity for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to work in a K-12 school environment. The role focuses on providing behavior support and intervention strategies to enhance student learning and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) aligned with IEP goals.
- Provide both direct and consultative services to students, staff, and families regarding behavior support strategies.
- Train and supervise school staff in data collection, ABA techniques, and behavior intervention protocols.
- Monitor and analyze data to ensure effective implementation of behavior plans, recommending adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with IEP teams to integrate behavior goals into student education plans.
- Offer ongoing training and professional development to school personnel on ABA methodologies and best practices.
- Support crisis intervention and de-escalation planning for students exhibiting challenging behavior.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and state/federal regulations related to special education and behavior services.
- Provide supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB.
- Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred; familiarity with IDEA and IEP processes required.
- Skills: Strong data analysis, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
