A specialized educational environment is looking for a dedicated professional to provide part-time behavioral support. This position is ideal for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of K-12 students with significant behavioral needs.

Location: Canyon Country, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person BCBA services to students and staff, focusing on individualized behavior support.
  • Collaborate with the full-time psychologist to conduct classroom observations and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
  • Assist in developing and implementing effective behavioral intervention plans tailored to student needs.
  • Provide guidance and training to educational staff on best practices for managing and supporting students’ behavioral challenges.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents, and faculty regarding behavioral strategies and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required.
  • Experience working with students exhibiting emotional and behavioral disorders (ED).
  • Strong observational and assessment skills to effectively analyze student needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small, specialized team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse populations.

This role offers the opportunity to support a small group of approximately 30 students in a focused setting, enhancing their educational experience and addressing their unique challenges. The assignment is for the academic year, requiring around 20 hours of work per week.
