This full-time Behavior Specialist position is available for the remainder of the current school year, providing crucial support within a K-12 educational setting in the Chattanooga area. The role requires active BCBA licensure and national certification, with an emphasis on behavior analysis and oversight of student programs aimed at improving behavioral outcomes. This opportunity offers a dynamic caseload, supervisory responsibilities, and professional development through mandatory training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 10-12 students spanning K-12 grades, implementing behavior intervention plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Supervise 1-2 Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), providing guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and monitor behavioral goals and strategies.
  • Complete the 4-day Therapeutic Crisis Intervention System (TCIS) training sponsored by the district, a required credential.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, data collection, and progress reports aligned with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Provide consultation and training to school personnel to promote positive behavior support frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current BCBA licensure and national certification.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred, with up to 10+ years considered.
  • Ability to manage multiple students and supervise staff effectively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to attend mandatory TCIS training provided by the district.

Location and Schedule:

  • On-site position in Hixson, TN, part of the Chattanooga metropolitan area.
  • Full-time hours ranging between 35-37.5 per week, typically scheduled from 7:15 AM to 4:15 PM with potential for flexible arrangements.
  • Assignment across multiple schools, depending on caseload.
