School Behavior Specialist in Newark, DE

A full-time Behavior Specialist with BCBA certification is sought for a K-8th grade program supporting students with moderate to severe cognitive disabilities. This role is based on-site in Newark, DE, within a school serving K-12 students, and is a contract assignment running through June 12, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments to develop effective strategies.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure consistent behavioral support.
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
• Maintain detailed documentation of services and student outcomes.
• Provide training and guidance to school personnel on behavior management techniques.

Qualifications:

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required.
• Valid Delaware licensure in education, preferably with school-based experience.
• Demonstrated experience working with students exhibiting moderate to severe cognitive challenges.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Ability to work on-site full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM.
