A school-based Behavior Specialist position is available within an elementary school setting in Waterbury, CT. This role is designed for a dedicated professional committed to supporting students' behavioral growth and creating positive learning environments. The assignment is a Contract position for the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive student outcomes
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and maintain accurate documentation
  • Provide training and support to staff on behavior management strategies
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust plans accordingly
  • Assist in crisis intervention and support the social-emotional development of students
