Apply NowThis opportunity is for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Citrus Heights, CA. This contract position for the current school year involves working closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver therapeutic services that enhance students’ educational and developmental outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy services as directed by a licensed OT.
- Conduct therapeutic activities tailored to support students’ individual goals.
- Monitor and document progress, collaborating with the OT to modify treatment plans as needed.
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student success.
- Maintain detailed and compliant records according to state and district policies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain up-to-date with best practices in the field.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program.
- Valid state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Minimum of one year recent experience in occupational therapy, ideally in a school or pediatric environment.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
