Seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students in a school-based setting in Clovis, NM. This contract position spans the current school year and involves working closely under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver therapeutic services that foster students’ educational and developmental progress.

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
  • Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • NBCOT certification
  • Minimum one year recent experience, preferably in school or pediatric environments
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
  • Commitment to continuing education and professional development as required by state and district guidelines

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering occupational therapy interventions aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Implement therapeutic activities designed to support educational and developmental goals
  • Monitor and document student progress, collaborating with the supervising OT to modify therapy plans as needed
  • Engage collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to meet student needs effectively
  • Maintain accurate records consistent with state and district regulations
  • Participate in professional learning opportunities to stay abreast of best practices in occupational therapy

Location: Clovis, NM — K-12 School Setting
Duration: Contract for the current school year
