Apply NowA full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available for the current school year within a K-12 educational setting located in Cranston, Rhode Island. This contract role offers the opportunity to support students' developmental and therapeutic needs under the guidance of the school’s Occupational Therapy Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students to assist with fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and document therapy outcomes in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and contribute to the overall wellness and educational goals of students.
- Assist in adapting classroom environments and materials to support student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a COTA with relevant state licensure or eligibility.
- Experience working in school-based or pediatric therapeutic settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school personnel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed documentation.
