An exciting opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide essential support services within K-12 educational environments. This full-semester contract role is based in the Fountain, CO area, serving two charter schools located in the Aurora region. The position requires dedication to helping students develop skills necessary for academic success and daily functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to meet the needs of K-12 students
  • Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to create and implement individualized plans
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with educational and therapy regulations
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on student outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with relevant school-based experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a school setting supporting children with diverse needs
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, students, and families
  • Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality and adhering to school policies
  • Flexibility to adapt therapy methods to varying educational environments

Location: Fountain, Colorado, serving two charter schools in the Aurora area

Work Schedule: Approximately 28 hours per week, aligned with the academic calendar, for the duration of one full semester
