A skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed for a full-time contract position in Gretna, VA, serving a K-12 school caseload. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with two virtual Occupational Therapists in a collaborative environment focused on supporting students' therapeutic needs.

Location:

  • Based in Gretna, VA, near Danville and just across the North Carolina border
  • Approximately 1.5 hours south of Roanoke
  • Serving surrounding communities within this region

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students in a school setting
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the guidance of virtual OTs
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with educational staff to ensure comprehensive support for student development
  • Support students in gaining functional skills that enhance participation in school activities

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential required
  • Experience working in school settings preferred
  • Ability to manage a full caseload across all grade levels (K-12)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with virtual therapy providers
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

Position Details:

  • Contract term through the current school year (ASAP start to end of school year)
  • Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
  • Immediate availability preferred
