Qualifications:

  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Relevant experience in a school setting, particularly with middle school-aged students
  • Ability to implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals
  • Must pass a fingerprinting background check

Location: Long Beach, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students as directed by a supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Support students in achieving goals related to daily living skills, motor skills, and sensory processing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic goals within the classroom setting
  • Participate in team meetings and engage with families regarding student progress and needs
